Markha Valley

 Markha Valley trek India Himalaya

trek photostrek itinerarydates / pricespre-trek infobook

The secluded Markha Valley is wedged between the Ladakh and Zanskar ranges, parallel with the Himalaya. The wild and barren, yet hauntingly beautiful landscapes of this hidden land are often likened to Tibet – Ladakh used to be known as ‘Little Tibet’ – and are every bit as dramatic and enticing.

We acclimatise in Leh where we experience the many cultural aspects of this magnificent capital. Our trek starts from Stok, and we take in the Stok La, the hidden Rumbak Valley, the Ganda La, the Markha Valley and the Kangmaru La before finishing at Martselang.
